Material : Clay
Arch is curved structure that supports a wall above the opening.
Basically, arch need a strong base for the bridge stand long-last and a keystone at the middle between the curve structure stronger. Estimating the scale of the bridge is important to make it more stability.
Our arch are built by normal clay, the colour are white and gray. The first time, we didn't built it with brick shape because we just just cut and shape it out.
Process:
First Idea :
We just cut and built the clay without make brick shape, it supposed to be brick but we didn't realize it and we reconstruct it again.
The second shape was like this after we tryout the strength and stability since the first try we put phone and count until 10 seconds the curved fall.
The final structure still the same but the different is only the shape more united. We tried to built the keystone on the middle like the real one.
Testing all group's arch which is the strongest among all :
Reflection :
I've learnt how arch can survive with some conditions and terms such as KY's group arch which is colourful (orange,pink,red and blue) are really strong from shocks from the beginning but in the end it's not really strong enough because the inner structure are cracked. Also, Sarah's group which is brown reddish colour are very strong clay material. However, its not really strong from shocks because of the construction are attach or stick each bricks well.
