Monogram

Before I do it to the 6 items, I've made the poster of monogram first. My concept is 2 sided poster by using acrylic glass as the background for the purpose that from front side we can see the 3D look and from the back side then find light source would be a 2D look.

This is my 6 items from my own logo's that I created, since my name is Josephin only "J" i put my chinese name Chai with "C" will more interesting "JC". I also have design it by what kind of my personality such as fashion I used shoes, bag, t-shirt also for my favourite any book holder/case instead of passport and 1 set of glass.

This is the passport holder that I've mentioned above :
I used blue leather for the cover because the texture better and I combined it with a fox fur fabric with pink color to show a contrast also sew with unique shapes of ribbons and flower to create the shape.

This is my shoes with my own logo on it :

I used white leather shoes because I really like it specially for shoes. Besides, the logo I used glow in the dark effect so it can be special rather than just use normal spray colour.

The glow in the dark effect

1 set of glass instead of plate:
Christmas is closer! so I colored up the glass with red and green.

Jeans back bag with rope :

I bought some button with unique and different shapes like teddy bear, normal button with different color also sizes, flowers, finger and feet.

Pillow Case:
I really like Tosca color if put black on it because the contrast of it really catching eyes. The shapes only normal because I just learned how to sew it by my self including the logo too.

Back stretch T-Shirt:
It's just a normal grey t-shirt but I tried to think and make it different compares with all my classmates since almost all of us did the same of this item. I modify the back side by cut and stretch it.

Progress of Monogram on 6 products

Hello. Here I will explain about my progress of doing monogram for 6 items. So, basically this is my sketchbook that I was plan, draw and manage all my ideas journey.

Logo sketches

At the very first, I've been thinking of using my name alphabet "J" only for my logo but after I rethink about it I'm not satisfied by using 1 alphabet only. Wherefore I have Chinese name Chai so I decided to use "C" for the additional symbol. Here is some picture of my rough sketches of my own logo.

After sketched it out, I planned to choose some of it only. After that, I've explain how I can get the ideas. Well, it's all reflected about me such as I like rabbit and bee for animals so I connected it to my logo and I colored it with different contrast colors as well. 

Back Stretched T-Shirt

It's just a simple T-shirt but I really like to wear it since it's casual and more comfortable. I've made it as my style by cut the back with some lines and stretched it. Why? Because I want to create a different product among my classmates even we were used same product (T-Shirt)

Jeans Back Bag Rope

This is my favorite product among all since it's really a nice bag after finished sew. I purposely bought some buttons with different kind of shapes, colors and sizes by the reason to show a rhytm. It's quiet hard to did this one since if it deviated a bit, it will be different position from what you were expect from the first planned.

Passport holder/case

I like to collect book holder especially with leather or fur materials. It's would be nice and I will feel proud if I can cover my passport with my own product. I've used blue marine leather for the base and pink fox fur fabric for the logo's frame also ribbons decoration to create the shape of the logo.

Glow in the Dark Shoes

It seems like normal shoes isn't it? Actually its not. I've decided to use glow in the dark spray to make my shoes more special especially when in dark and night it would be amazing.

Draw the outline to make it more contrast and show the logo shape more clear.

After that, clean around the logo's that got dirty because of the spray not so well.

Christmas mug

I like christmas very much because it's snowing and need to drink something to warm body up and it's closer as well! I used red and green color to represent christmas. Also I have made this mug special, see the holder? We should place it only on red color cannot be green, that's mean the mug contain hot drinks it could be hot chocolate, coffee or tea. 

Pillow Sheath

I really like to learn new things so I made up my mind to did at least 3 products contain sewing skills to improve since i've never sew for the whole my life before *hahaha*. This pillow case also a bit hard for me but I don't want to give up! I borrow the machine from my fashion design friends and teach me how to did it. After finish it, I really satisfied with it even it's not really neat though. I choose tosca because the color is good for people healthy when they wakeup in the morning and look at something green.

Reflection:
Experience: I realize that I gain and learned a lot for Monogram's assignment because I know how to sew well and the technique such as applique and embellishment. I also improve my thinking skill how to make product looks more interesting in unique and creative way. I developed my knowledge about art more as well like how to apply principle of design (colors, shapes, repeating, forms) to this assignment.

Observation: I observed that every art is unique and beautiful in different way, it's just depend on how big the passion, creative and hard work be.
